Site Visits
Face to face is sometimes better!
If our clients wish us to attend site and visit debtors this can be arranged. For those debtors who have been through our collection process and contact attempts by email, text and letter have failed, then a pre disconnection visit is essential.
It is essential to understand the unique circumstances of each situation and often we will be able to resolve issues on the door, other times our agents can assess for vulnerable persons on site that will be effected by escalated collection activity and we can alert our client accordingly and desist in any disconnection activity and recover via a court claim instead.
A report will be completed by our agent on site. If payment can be taken it will, but importantly a hand delivered letter will be left at site warning of the impending action plus rights and obligations.
if the liable party has sub leased the property, its often only when the sub tenants are alerted to the imminent action, they make contact with the letting agent and the letting agent pays from the rent monies to ensure their tenant remains on supply.
Site visits also can identify empty properties, this means disconnection can occur with very little concern for the welfare of residents. Disconnections to an empty sites are often followed by a letting agent making contact and asking for a reconnection and making payment on behalf of their client.
